"The German Connection:ART" |
The German Alumni Association Kuala Lumpur (GAAKL) and the Goethe-Institut Malaysia jointly organised an exhibition entitled “The German Connection : Art”, in collaboration with Pelita Hati House of Art.
The event is a showcase of art as the link between Germany and Malaysia as well as the artists from both countries: German artists who live and work in Malaysia such as Askandar Unglehrt, Gisela Rademacher and Volker W Hamann; Malaysian artists like Noor Mahnun Mohamad, Alex Moh and Wong Hoy Cheong who have trained, worked in Germany or in some manner connected to the country. Other artists featured include Raja Shariman, Mariam Jutta, Nur Hanim Khairuddin, Goh Lee Kwang, Ilse Noor, Jalaini Abu Hassan, Shooshie Sulaiman and Wong Perng Fey.
